Hi, I'm Amy. Welcome to my little plot of virtual real estate.
I appreciate you taking the time to visit!
When I was 12 years old, I told my mother I wanted to the President of the United States when I grew up. Spoiler alert: I am not the President of the United States....yet. Luckily, I am an actor.
My career has spanned 20+ years, various genres, 2 coasts, dozens of theatres, and lots of audition cuts. Working in theatre as an actor has given me the most joyful and challenging hours of my life - and I'm grateful for it.
I also direct. Allowing actors the space and safety to become a character & to tell a story mesmerizes me.
The Backstory
The hair color? My dad's. The teeth? My Mom dragged me to the orthodontist when I was 10. It took me years to grow into these teeth,
My brother and I were born and raised in Virginia, children of a farmer/furniture craftsman/contractor and a teacher/minister of music/Pianist. With those genes, I was cursed to be interested in a million things. Music,, Dance., Biochemistry, writing, anatomy, cycling, travel, forensic science, and dogs to name a few.
Although I have moved around quite a bit, I am a fan of Virginia. I'm a hiker and I love the beach, so it works out.
